Nádia Catarina Seidi

Catarina Seidi holds a master's degree in Health Psychology and Neuropsychological Rehabilitation from the University of Aveiro, awarded in 2018. Following the completion of her master's degree, she worked as a psychologist (a member of the Portuguese Psychological Association) in healthcare services while also pursuing an advanced specialization in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies at the CRIAP Institute. Since 2023, she has been enrolled in the Doctorate Program in Psychology at the University of Aveiro, supported by a doctoral fellowship from the FCT (2022.12739.BD). Her research project, supervised by Liliana Sousa (University of Aveiro) and Álvaro Mendes (CGPP, IBMC - i3S), aims to explore parent-child communication about inherited genetic conditions. The project’s goal is to develop resources for genetic counselling, assisting parents in better preparing and communicating information about inherited genetic conditions to their young children.
