Elisabete graduated in Biology in 1999 (Faculty of Sciences, Porto University) and obtained her PhD in Biomedicine in 2011 (Faculty of Medicine, Porto University). Currently she is a postdoctoral researcher with a Fellowship from FCT. In this context, she initiated a project that aims to clarify the role of oxidative stress in the development of abnormalities of placentation associated with ageing. She has published more than 20 publications in indexed international journals, 2 reviews and 1 book chapter.
