Nuno Franco

Assistant Researcher
Nuno Franco is an Assistant Researcher at the LAS group. He has a 5-year degree in Biology and Geology Teaching (2003), and a 4-year degree in Biology (2007) from the University of Trás-os-Montes-e-Alto-Douro. He finished his PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Porto in 2012. His research focuses on laboratory animal welfare, along with ethical, legal, social and scientific issues in animal research. His research interests also include translational science, science communication and education. In 2013, he received the UFAW Young Animal Welfare Scientist of the Year Award.
