Francisco obtained his MsC in Bioengeneering at the Faculty of Engineering / Institute for Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar, University of Porto. During that time, he performed an ERASMUS internship at the Istituto di Cristallografia in Trieste, Italy, and another internship at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Leuven, Belgium. His current work focuses on the influence of the sympathetic nervous system on breast cancer bone metastases.
