Nuno T. Marcos got its PhD from the Faculty of Medicine, Univ. Porto, in the area of gastric cancer and glycosylation. He has published several peer-reviewed scientific papers and communications at international meetings. He was Auxiliary Professor at the University of Aveiro, from 2008 to 2014, in the Biomedical Sciences degree. Since 2008 works on science communication about cancer prevention, specializing in the implementation of campaigns for the general public through audiovisual contents. Combines a solid background in scientific research with the pedagogical experience, as university professor and monitor of scientific outreach sessions, and with the audiovisual know-how, as producer of multimedia content. Among other works, produced and directed the series of scientific films '[IN VIVO] Prevent Cancer' (www.ipatimup.pt/invivo), and is co-author of the book 'Cancro Ponto e Vírgula', edited by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (www.ipatimup.pt/cancropontoevirgula). Since 2015 is the PI of an outerach and research project on cancer prevention, aiming at developing an innovative model for a TV/Web series and campaign.
