It took me almost an entire Bachelor degree on Aquatic Sciences (Icbas-Up) to accept that I didn’t want become a biologist. Nonetheless, I kept an interest in scientific inquiry and committed my graduation internship to an e-learning project since I was curious about the possibility of improving teaching at universities through the use of online platforms.

Education remained my major research interest: I integrated projects focused on Science and Health Literacy (Ipatimup 2008-2012); completed a Master degree in the field of Higher Education (2012-2014), which gave the opportunity to study in Austria, Finland, China and Germany; and wrote a master thesis about admission policies in Portuguese Universities. I also worked in the Academic Affairs Unit of the University of Porto (2014-2016), in the area of accreditation; and collaborated with the Finnish Education Evaluation Centre as an external evaluator of quality assurance systems of Finish Universities.

Currently, I’m developing a national campaign of health promotion in Ipatimup, that includes a television series to be aired on RTP1. I’m one of the creators of the series and I’ve co-written the scripts of the episodes.
