.Catarina Serrano has a MSc in Forensic Genetics under my supervision. The master project was developed between September 2014 and November 2015 at the Population Genetics and Evolution Group and was focused in the analysis of concurrent mutations in five human genes associated with complex disease. Since then, she was involved along some of my projects, which resulted in two publications: the identification trans-species polymorphisms and a mutational spectrum of MCCC1 and MCCC2 genes in newborn screening. This year, she got a FCT PhD grant under my guidance (SFRH/BD/137925/2018 | 1-01-2018 to 31-12-2021).
