I joined the Fish Immunology and Vaccinology at IBMC in October 2016 as a PostDoc fellow in the study of the toxicity mechanism of a bacterial toxin, AIP56.
Before that I, graduated as a Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of Coimbra and started my carear as a researcher at CNC-UC in the Redox Biology and Brain sensing group with Dr. João Laranjinha. Here, I developed my PhD project focused in the biochemistry of nitrite and nitric oxide in gastric physiopathology, that I finished in 2016.
During this time I was also able to work as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Coimbra.
At CNC-UC I participated in iniciatives such as Semana do Cerebro, Ciência Viva where we able to bring science closer to people going to local schools or bringing the public to the lab.
I am dynamic person who likes to communicate and share ideas and perspectives.
