I have a Master's degree in Oncology with a specialisation in Molecular Oncology from ICBAS-UP. I also have a Degree in Biomedical Sciences from UBI. My primary focus is Cancer Research and I have a special interest in Immuno-Oncology. I developed my master´s thesis in the Unit for Multidisciplinary Research in Biomedicine (UMIB - ICBAS-UP - CHP) focusing on the use of lymphoblastoid cell lines from lung cancer patients to study the importance of markers of inflammation and metastasization. I also had the opportunity to work as an Intern in the Cytogenetics Laboratory of the Genetic Services of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro Hospital (CHTMAD).
