My academic background is on Mathematics, holding three degrees by the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto: BSc in Mathematics – Educational branch, MSc in Mathematics – Foundations and Applications, and PhD in Applied Mathematics.

Over the years I had developed good programming skills on several environments and languages such as MATLAB, R, C++ or Linux Shell Scripting.

I have a particular interest on the development and application of software for mathematical modeling, simulation and data analysis for the study of biological processes, from neurosciences, to population genetics, genetics or genomics.

After concluding my PhD at CMUP (Centre for Mathematics of the University of Porto) in the field of Theoretical and Computational Neuroscience in 2014, I moved to CIBIO-InBIO (Research Centre in Biodiversity and Genetics Resources) as a Bioinformatician.

In 2016 I moved to CBMA (Centre of Molecular and Environmental Biology of University of Minho) where I worked as Bioinformatician until March 2018.

In April 2018, I joined INEB where I integrate the Bioimaging Scientific Platform as biomiage analyst.
