Patrícia C. Henriques got her Master degree in Bioengineering, with specialization in Biomedical Engineering, at the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto, in 2014. She developed her Master thesis at INEB, for a period of six months, although the works have continued for a few more months. The research work was performed under the supervision of Inês Gonçalves, inserted on the NanoBiomaterials to Control Infection and Thrombus Formation Team. She worked at INEB as a Research Assistant for one year under the same topic. She then moved to LEPABE/FEUP and started working as a Research Assistant with graphene and polymers under the subject 'New biomaterials to prevent infection associated with dialysis catheters'. She has a published article and an award for best poster.
