Monika Vilares graduated in Genetics and Biotechnology by the University of Trás-Os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD, 2011-2014) and holds a MSc in Cell and Molecular Biology from the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto (FCUP, 2014-2016). Currently, she is a PhD student from Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar, University of Porto (ICBAS-UP) at the Ageing and Aneuploidy Group (i3S), where she focuses her studies on human aneuploidy and its impact on chromosomal instability, under the supervision of Dr. Elsa Logarinho.
