Learning and teaching Biotech:
Applying a STEAM approach and designing STEAM modules

Are you interested in cell biology, biotechnology, gene editing, human genetics, behaviour and ethology? Are you interested to work in teams to create STEAM (multidisciplinary Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) modules to innovate teaching and learning about the above science fields for higher education institutes and the general public?

Then join us for an online 3-day hackathon on June 18, 22 and 23 in collaboration with the Hybrid Lab Network by filling the application form before June 15.

Hybrid Lab Network partner institutions I3S/IBMC (Porto), Aalto University (Helsinki), Alma Mater Europaea Graduate School of Humanities (Ljubljana) and Waag – Technology & Society (Amsterdam) will select up to 30 participants.

The created Biotech-STEAM learning and teaching modules will be further developed by the project and used in higher education institutes in Europe. The winning module will be invited to join successive developing activities of the projects on site of the different partner institutions (when COVID-19 measures permit).
