In a special pre-holiday session of "The story behind the CV", Mario Capecchi, Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine in 2007, will share the stories behind his scientific and academic career.

Mario Capecchi is Professor of Human Genetics, Co-Chairman of the Department of Human Genetics of the University of Utah School of Medicine and co-winner (with Martin Evans and Oliver Smithies) of the 2007 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for discovering a method to create mice in which a specific gene is turned off, known as knockout mice. 

"The Story behind the CV|" sessions are informal conversations with inspiring STEM (science, technology, engineering, maths) professionals and an opportunity to know the story behind their career success, with a focus on the experiences, struggles, career decisions and achievements. Each encounter will be accompanied by beverages and munchies.
