Gene editing using CRISPR-Cas9: from science to society

This open scientific meeting is part of IMGENE, a Marie Sk?odowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) European Training Network (ETN) focusing on improving genome editing efficiency. Reflecting the width of the project, the meeting addresses scientific and technological as well as societal and regulatory aspects of genome editing.
Our ambition has been to put together a program for academics and other professionals with an interest in the issue. The morning session entitled Optimising methodology and overcoming obstacles in applications of CRISPR-Cas9 across model systems is aimed especially for scientists who are using or planning to use CRISPR-Cas9 in their research. We hope that not only these scientists but indeed the wider academic community will find the afternoon session Regulation and governance of gene editing relevant.
