The Others in Me, 25 years on. What others, what selves?

12 March 2025 | 2H30 PM
Mariano Gago Auditorium | i3S - Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde, Universidade do Porto

The conference ‘The Others in Me, 25 years on. What others, what selves?', organised by Rui Mota Cardoso and coordinated by António Guerreiro, will take place on the 12th of March at 2.30pm in the Mariano Gago auditorium at i3S - Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde (Rua Alfredo Allen, 208, Porto, Portugal).

Inspired by the idea of cancer as a metaphor for all the ‘strange others in me’, the conference refers simultaneously to a series of talks ‘The Others in Me’ that took place 25 years ago as part of Porto Capital of Culture, and to the exhibition ‘The Strange Terrible Other’ by Agostinho Santos.

Entrance is free.

The conference will be in Portuguese.

Organisation: Rui Mota Cardoso | Coordination: António Guerreiro
