2017 Annual Meeting turned over a new leaf

The i3S 6th Annual Meeting introduced a few innovations.
Scientific exchange between i3S co-workers remains at the core of this event, but this year's scientific committee decided to build bridges with more than talking. And what better way to do it than through games and some healthy competition in the freezing pool?

This year, we went back to the Axis Vermar Conference & Beach Hotel to play havoc with our social activities. We held a fundraising challenge paired with beer; we took it to a very chilly pool for some wild & wet games; and decided to finally, after five editions, get to know Póvoa de Varzim a little better with Walk'n Póvoa, where participants were able to appreciate some very special spots. There was also tai chi, padel and a zumba party for those who are sporty to the bone.

Another addition was the i3S Gala. For this first edition, eight categories were introduced: Survivor, "By the Book", Umpteenth Project, Industry Partnership, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Event of the Year, Ambassador, and Star Quality. Make sure to put your best foot forward throughout 2018 to see your name in the ballot.

The success of social activities and the gala surely opened a precedent, so get ready for next year!
