i3S Fundraising Travel Grant

The i3S Fundraising team is glad to announce the open call for the 1st edition of the i3S Fundraising Travel Grant from March 1st to 30th 2019 and will be awarded to PhD Students who are i3S members.

Eligibility: i3S PhD students who have submitted, or will submit, an Abstract as first authors to a national or international scientific meeting taking place from May 2019 to February 2020.

Applicable events: Summer/Winter schools, workshops, conferences or symposiums in Portugal or abroad.

Applicable expenses: travel costs (economic class) and/or registration costs.

Total grant value: 500 €

Evaluation: The applications will be evaluated individually by an internal jury taking into account the career stage of the candidate (year of PhD). The following parameters will be considered:

- Work to be presented or developed (Abstract);

- Type of participation (poster/oral communication/etc.);

- Candidate’s Curriculum Vitae (max. 2 pages)

- The importance of the participation in the event and the impact it will bring to the candidate’s career (Motivation statement and referral letter, max. 1 page each)

Results: The results will be communicated by email until the April 30th 2019. The jury may decide not to award the i3S Fundraising Travel Grant.
