I own a master of Science in Medicinal Chemistry by The University of Coimbra. My master thesis was carried out at Toxfinder, Lda, having split my research focus between two different areas both of which involving the prediction of skin sensitization for new cosmetic ingridients, using multivariate analysis, and also the barrier effect evaluation of some molecules for skin allergens, utilizing in vitro models.

Currently, I am a research associate at INEB-i3S integrating the Foundation for Science and Technology R&D project "NovaDerma", whose work plan comprises the development of innovative biomaterials/drugs conjugates to be integrated in pharmaceutical formulations for the treatment of skin diseases, as basal cell carcinoma, psoriasis, vitiligo, and atopic dermatitis.
