Ana Moutinho
PhD Student

Ana Moutinho graduated in Biochemistry at Faculty of Sciences and Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences of University of Porto (FCUP/ICBAS-UP) in 2019. During her last BSc year, she developed an internship entitled "Unraveling the role of Frq1 binding to ceramide as a switch between life and death" at i3S, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Vítor Costa and Dr. Clara Pereira.

In 2021, she concluded her Master degree in Biochemistry at FCUP/ICBAS, during which she developed the thesis entitled “The iPLUS non-coding sequence: on the function and therapeutic applications” at the Gene Regulation group at i3S. 

Currently, she is a Research Fellow on the project “Stroke-sensor: Biomarkers of Diagnosis and Prognosis in Stroke” at Centro Hospitalar Universitário do Porto (CHUPorto) in collaboration with the Expression Regulation in Cancer group at i3S/IPATIMUP.
