I've graduated in 2010 in Biology in the University of Aveiro. In 2013 I obtained a Master Degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology also in the Univesity of Aveiro. From 09/2008 to 08/2009 I participated in a research project: ?Peroxisome biogenesis and related diseases? under supervision of PhD Michael Schrader at the Biology Department - University of Aveiro. From 09/2009 to 08/2010 I was a Professional Trainee Professional at the Genetics Service of FMUP (Hospital de S. João). I've Fulfilled genetic diagnosis of CADASIL and Fabry diseases and developed a research project under the supervision of PhD Susana Fernandes. From 09/2010 to 12/2011 I've had my first job in the genetic diagnosis lab. GDPN-Genética Médica e Diagnóstico Pré-Natal Prof. Dr. Sérgio Castedo. Genetic diagnosis of familial hereditary genetic syndromes and diagnosis/follow up of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia were under my main responsibilities. Since 05/2012 I am working as a Research Fellow on IPATIMUP, in the Cancer Biology group under supervision of PhD Valdemar Máximo, on the research project ?Mapping susceptibility genes in thyroid familial cancer?.
