Liliana Rocha graduated in Biomedical Laboratory Science at Escola Superior de Tecnologias da Saúde do Porto. Holds a master's degree in Comparative and Evolutive Molecular Genetics from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro and Faculty of Medicine from University of Porto (FMUP); her research thesis was on "Isolation and characterization of human amniotic fluid stem cells(hAFSCs)?. Currently, she is a biomedical scientist at the Genetics Department from FMUP and in addition to performing the genetics lab routine also works with Next Generation Sequencing in polycystic kidney disease diagnosis.
