CM 25/2025_PRR - Acquisition of an Automated Tissue Dissociator
Publication Date: 2025.12.05Deadline for submission of proposals: 2025.12.12 05:00 PMUnder Decree-Law 60/2018 of August 3rd and to comply with Article 1º-A of the Public Procurement Code and the Interpretative Communication of the Commission - 2006/C 179/02, published in the Official Journal of 01/08/2006, i3S - Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde da Universidade do Porto - Associação (“i3S”) hereby makes public its need for the Acquisition of an Automated Tissue Dissociator
The acquisition of this equipment, aims to provide i3S’s laboratories with the material resources needed to develop R&D activities in the field of high‑throughput screening aimed at identifying new chemical entities with therapeutic potential.
The equipment will enable the preparation of single‑cell suspensions from various tissue types for use in downstream cell‑based assays, serving a wide range of applications, namely through integration into a high‑throughput screening workflow, from surgically obtained samples to the production of organoids.
The acquisition and use of an automated, small‑scale and small‑footprint instrument will allow the use of smaller volumes of reagents and the generation of less laboratory waste, while simultaneously increasing the yield of viable single cells compared with manual dissociation, thus improving the efficiency in the use of resources and energy.
With the aforementioned acquisition, i3S intends to equip its laboratories with the material resources necessary for the development of its research and development activities, within the scope of project reference UID/PRR/4293/2025, financed by European PRR funds, entered in the FCT budget.
