Ao abrigo do DL 60/2018 de 03 de agosto e para dar cumprimento ao exposto no artigo 1º-A do Código dos Contratos Públicos e na Comunicação Interpretativa da Comissão - 2006/C 179/02, publicada no Jornal Oficial de 01/08/2006, o i3S – Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde da Universidade do Porto – Associação (“i3S”) torna pública a sua necessidade de Aquisição de um Equipamento de imagiologia por bioluminescência e fluorescência in vivo.

Under Decree-Law 60/2018 of August 3rd and to comply with Article 1º-A of the Public Procurement Code and the Interpretative Communication of the Commission - 2006/C 179/02, published in the Official Journal of 01/08/2006, i3S hereby makes known to the public the need for the Acquisition of a In vivo bioluminescence and fluorescence imaging equipment

Com a aquisição deste equipamento, o i3S pretende dotar os seus laboratórios dos meios necessários ao desenvolvimento da sua atividade de investigação e desenvolvimento no âmbito do projeto FCT - Plurianual Programático, com a referência UID 2020-2023.

i3S intends to provide its laboratories with the necessary means to carry out their research and development activity within project with the reference: UID 2020-2023.

Especificações técnicas, mínimas, pretendidas / Technical Specifications Requirements:

Imagiologia ótica in vivo para ratos e ratazanas para imagens de luminescência e fluorescência, permitindo uma monotorização das células, de forma não invasiva. O sistema deve ser compatível com espécies pequenas de ratos e ratazanas. Devem ser garantidas as seguintes características técnicas

In vivo optical imaging for mouse and rats for luminescence and fluorescence imaging, allowing a non- invasive tracking of cells. The system should be compatible with small rats and mouse species. The following technical characteristics must be ensured:

Image acquisition

• 2D fluorescence and luminescence
• At least 3D luminescence through the use of infrared 3D cameras for mouse contour
• Automated, manual and time lapsed acquisition modes, allowing control of time (from 10 milliseconds to 2h) and binning between 1x1 and 16x16
• Removable heated stage allowing animal maintenance at a physiological temperature under anesthesia for the required species (mice and rat); it should maintain temperatures between 20 and 40oC

Camera characteristics

• CCD camera cooled camera, 16 bit with z axis motorization
• Lens aperture starting at f/0.7 for a better sensitivity, with auto-focus
• Field of view of 6x6 to 20x20cm imaging
• Image resolution of at least 10 MegaPixels

Fluorescence imaging acquisition

• 2D fluorescence with at least 8 excitation channels with wavelengths between 440 nm and 780 nm;
• Motorized emission filter wheel with 11 positions and 8 high transmission narrow-bandpass filters

Dark room and acquisition chamber

• Compatible with the pre-existing isoflurane anesthesia system, it should allow acquisition of at least 5 mice simultaneously and 3 rats
• At least 5 anesthesia nozzles should be individually controlled
• Stage with x-y motorization

Software and image analysis

• Unlimited number of license-free software, allowing signal quantification, edit functions and 3D optical tomography image generation and signal quantification (in volume and size)
• Possibility to apply default and user-defined acquisition modes
• Digital organ library for image overlay
• At least 2 years warranty
• Installation at the designated area (image lab, inside animal facility) and training should be included; training should be of at least 2 days
