Raquel T. Lima is a Junior Research at IPATIMUP/i3S in the Cancer Signalling & Metabolism Group. She has a degree in Biochemistry (2000) from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (UP), a Master degree in Molecular Oncology (2005) from the Faculty of Medicine-UP and a PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2010) from Faculty of Pharmacy-UP. Raquel´s research has been focusing on the cellular pathways involved in cancer drug resistance (namely autophagy and apoptosis)and how they may be modulated to promote cancer cell death. Currently she is studying the role of LRP1B in the response of cancer cells to liposomal drugs. She has been involved in several research projects and in the supervision of master and PhD students. She participates in several master programs and is Affiliated Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of UP.
