PhD Student

I’ve obtained a Master Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Faculty of Pharmacy of University of Porto in 2016. My scientific career outside of the academic environment began in January 2017 in a research fellowship in the Cancer Drug Resistance Group of Institute of Molecular Pathology and Immunology of the University of Porto. I was involved in a research project aiming to study the antitumoral potential of various plant extracts and later in a project aiming to identify microRNAs as biomarkers of drug resistance in Multiple Myeloma patients. Then, I integrated the group of Molecular Microbiology of IBMC/i3S to study new mechanisms of host resistance upon pore-forming toxins attack. Currently I'm a PhD student in the Cell Biology of Bacterial Infections group of IBMC/I3S.
