I am a Veterinary Surgeon graduated from Lisbon's Faculty of Veterinary Sciences. My work experience as a Small Animal Veterinarian has been divided between Portugal and the Middle East Region. I have a strong interest in Veterinary Clinical Pathology and  zoonotic parasitic vector-borne diseases , with a particular emphasis on Leishmaniasis and Trypanosomiasis.  I am currently under a PhD scholarship, aiming to develop work and knowledge in both Canine and Human Leishmaniasis.
