Lídia obtained her BSc in Genetics and Biotechnology from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro in 2019. Then, in 2021 she obtained her Master degree in Oncology - Specialization in Laboratory Oncology from ICBAS-Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences and IPO-Portuguese Institute of Oncology-Porto. 
Currently, Lídia is a PhD Student at the Cytoskeletal Regulation & Cancer Group in i3S.
