Ana Sofia Figueiredo

Ana Sofia Figueiredo is a research fellow in the Genetics of Cognitive Dysfunction group. She graduated in Biology, at the University of Aveiro (2014-2018) and she was awarded with an ERASMUS+ fellowship to perform a curricular internship at the Microbiology Department of Ramón y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid (2017-2018). She concluded her master’s degree in Molecular Genetics and Biomedicine, at the NOVA School of Science and Technology in Lisbon (FCT-NOVA), and her thesis dissertation was carried out in the group of Genetics of Cognitive Dysfunction at i3S. In December 2020, she was awarded with a research fellowship in a project financed by FCT, aiming to generate animal models to investigate the molecular mechanisms in neurodegenerative disorders.
