Jaqueline Rocha
Junior Researcher

Jaqueline Rocha holds a PhD on Biotechnology with specialization in Microbiology, performed at the Portuguese Catholic University. During her PhD, she was working in the development of novel approaches do unveil wastewater resistome and studying the possible impact of a relevant bacterial species in human health. She integrated 8 scientific research projects (4 international, 2 national, 2 mobilization projects). She had also been a visiting researcher in different research laboratories, one national and two international research laboratories (US and Spain). These experiences were important to improve her skills in the domains of microbiology, molecular biology and bioinformatics.

Currently, she is a Junior Researcher at Advanced Graphene Biomaterials group, where she is involved in the assessment of the antimicrobial efficacy of the technology related to a medical device. Moreover, she is also involved in the regulatory framework related to the approval for the clinical assays and in the preparation of documents for CE marking and FDA approval.
