Margarida Duarte, a Research Assistant since January 2003, is investigating basic processes of the Leishmania mitochondrial metabolism since 2012, at the Molecular Parasitology lab. She graduated in Biochemistry from Porto University in 1992, and obtained her PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2000. She has 36 publications accepted in peer-reviewed journals, including 13 as 1st author and 4 as corresponding author. She was PI of 1 project awarded through competitive calls.
