Dr Sónia Rocha recently completed her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences in the field of Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto in 2024. She obtained her Master's degree in Quality Control, specializing in Medicines and Medicinal Plants, also from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto, where she graduated in 2018. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Aveiro in 2016. 

In terms of scientific contributions, her research has resulted so far in 12 articles published in peer-reviewed international journals. Additionally, she has authored 1 book chapter and 1 commentary. Her h-index is 8 (Google Scholar) and she has +460 citations. She has also been selected/invited to give 6 oral presentations and present 10 posters both at national and international conferences. Her work was also featured in presentations and posters from colleagues. She had the initiative to co-organize important outreach activities and mentored 3 Master students.
