Hilal Nasir completed a BSc (Hons) degree in Genetics at Hazara University, Mansehra (2012–2016), followed by an MPhil degree in Genetics at the same institution, focused on research activities and scientific publications. Afterwards, he worked as a research assistant at Hazara University for one year and later taught at several educational institutes while continuing his research work.

He is currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical and Translational Oncology at the University of Naples Federico II, Italy, under the supervision of Prof. Filippo Causa and Prof. Paolo Antonio Netti, developing Lab-on-a-Chip technologies for early cancer detection using biomarkers. He is also a visiting research scientist at i3S Porto, working on electrochemical approaches to improve the sensitivity of cancer biomarker detection.
