Obtained her degree in Biochemistry in January 2005, from the Faculty of Sciencies-University of Porto. From October 2006 till August 2009, lectured Cellular and Molecular Biology as a monitor in the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences-University of Porto (FCNAUP). At the same time, she was enrolled in the Master Degree Course in Medical and Molecular Oncology, from Faculty of Medicine-University of Porto (FMUP), and obtained her MSc degree in October 2008. Thereafter, in January 2009 enrolled in the Doctoral Programme in Metabolism - Clinical and Experimental from FMUP, and is actually finishing her thesis to be evaluated till the end of 2015. As a PhD student, from September 2009 till present, maintains the lecturer functions in FCNAUP as a Teaching Assistant for Cellular and Molecular Biology.
