This session lectured by Doctor Urte Jaeh will focus the management of transgenic mouse colonies. This 2 hours’ training session, intended for Animal facility users will explore mouse colonies standardization and monitor.
This training lecture is organized in collaboration between i3S Animal Facility and Charles River.

The training lecture will cover the following topics:

• Standardized Laboratory Animals (biosecurity, housing, breeding)
• Genetic Drift (identified risks and how to overcome)
• Substrain differences
• Find and select available mouse models, Identify the right background
• Macro and Micro-Environment
• Microbiological Standardization
• Environmental Standardization /Biosecurity
• Solutions / Technologies (SNP, Analysis, Model Creation (CRISPR/Cas9), Embryologic Services, etc.)
