Dear colleagues,
We are thrilled to invite scientists from across the globe, at all career stages, to join us for the 33rd International Conference on Yeast Genetics and Molecular Biology, taking place in Porto, Portugal, from 19-22 July 2027. The motto of this edition, “Bridging Knowledge, Advancing Yeast Research”, reflects our commitment to bringing together a dynamic and diverse community of leading scientists, emerging researchers and innovators from around the world. Our goal is to foster new synergies, exchange innovative ideas, and inspire the next generation of breakthroughs in yeast research through meaningful scientific exchange and collaboration.
The scientific programme of the congress will encompass a wide range of key topics in yeast biology, spanning molecular foundations, cellular systems, applied research and systems biology. Participants can expect inspiring keynote lectures delivered by internationally renowned experts alongside focused thematic workshops designed to encourage in-depth and interactive discussion. The programme will also offer numerous opportunities for delegates to showcase their work through selected oral communications and poster sessions. Industry partners are warmly invited to contribute through dedicated exhibitions, creating valuable opportunities for networking and partnerships.
We are especially proud to welcome you to Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage city, known for its rich cultural heritage and culinary tradition. From its iconic Port wine cellars and the historic Ribeira district to scenic Douro River cruises, charming traditional taverns, and Michelin-starred restaurants, Porto offers an unforgettable blend of authenticity and sophistication. Coupled with excellent international connectivity, renowned hospitality, and ideal summer weather, the city provides the perfect setting for scientific exchange and collaboration both inside and beyond the conference venue. The FACM conference centre will offer an inspiring and comfortable environment for the Congress, designed to promote active networking and build lasting collaborations.
