i3S Green Video Challenge

The i3S Green Lab Initiative is promoting its first video competition to encourage sustainability measures to be implemented at i3S, both in professional and social environments.

The participants are challenged to:

1. Prepare a short video (30 seconds max) in mp4 displaying the sustainable measures that are being (or will be) implemented in their laboratory or office to reduce the environmental footprint;
2. Send the video via email to greenlab@i3s.up.pt until December 8th.

The videos in contest will be evaluated by a jury composed of: Fabíola Costa (Researcher@i3S), Chiara Perrod (Researcher@i3S), Cristina Azevedo (InnovPlantProtect), Daniel Laureano (Events Management Unit@i3S) and Rute Verdade (Communication Unit@i3S).

The top 5 videos will be broadcast on i3S social media (Facebook and Instagram) and the authors of the best one will be awarded an i3S glass bottle.

Evaluation criteria include:

• Creativity;
• Relevance of the theme/suggestion;
• Carbon footprint of the video;
• Ability to grab attention.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• Only i3S collaborators are eligible to participate, individually or in small groups (that have to have an attributed name);
• Each i3S group/unit is allowed to submit more than one video;
• The winners will be announced during the International Sustainability Day on December 21st, and videos posted on Facebook and Instagram;
• This competition is in no way tied to or sponsored by Facebook, Inc and Instagram.
