CM 18/2025 - Acquisition of an equipment for the characterization of molecular interactions capable of Spectral Shift and Temperature Related Intensity Change (TRIC)/Microscale Thermophoresis (MST) measurements.

Under Decree-Law 60/2018 of August 3rd and to comply with Article 1º-A of the Public Procurement Code and the Interpretative Communication of the Commission - 2006/C 179/02, published in the Official Journal of 01/08/2006, i3S - Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde da Universidade do Porto - Associação (“i3S”) hereby makes public its need for the Acquisition of an equipment for the characterization of molecular interactions capable of Spectral Shift and Temperature Related Intensity Change (TRIC)/Microscale Thermophoresis (MST) measurements.

The acquisition of this equipment, aims to provide i3S’s laboratories with the material resources needed to develop R&D activities in terms of characterization of molecular interaction free in solution with the measurements of binding affinities (Kd) using spectral shift and TRIC/MST, making possible for measurements using very small amounts of sample thus allowing to analyze samples available in scarce amounts (e.g. clinical samples, proteins difficult to produce or purify) and allowing also the measurements in crude and other complex samples. This will also allow for a reduction on the energy and resources burden of producing and purifying proteins and sourcing other biomolecules for assays.

With the aforementioned acquisition, i3S intends to equip its laboratories with the material resources necessary for the development of its research and development activities, within the scope of project reference UID/PRR/4293/2025, financed by European PRR funds, entered in the FCT budget.

Installation timeframe: 45 days from delivery at date to be set in agreement between the parts

Maximum Price:  145 605,00 € (one hundred and forty-five thousand, six hundred and five euros)

Note: The invoice shall be issued after the complete delivery of the equipment.

Warranty Period: 1 year

Continuity of Manufacture: 10 years

Deadline for submission of proposals: 26/11/2025

The proposals must fulfil the requirements set out in the annexed document

The i3S will consider the best proposal submitted to be one that fulfils all the criteria listed above and that offers the best value for money, delivery time and warranty.

In the event of a tie, the best proposal will be considered the one that is the most adequate to the goals of this acquisition.
