Mafalda Pinho

Mafalda Pinho has a first degree in Biology (FCUP), including the thesis "Determining the genetic basis of lifespan in Drosophila americana" developed at Molecular Evolution group (IBMC) under the supervision of Dr. Jorge Vieira. In 2014 she completed her Master Degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology (FCUP), including the thesis "Unravelling the molecular mechanisms of polo alternative polyadenylation" developed at Gene Regulation group (IBMC) under supervision of Dr. Alexandra Moreira. After finishing her master thesis, she was a research fellow at Neurodevelopment and Degeneration group, headed by Dr. Carla Lopes (IBMC). Recently, she enrolled on a PhD programme - ProRegeM - PhD programme in Mechanisms of Disease and Regenerative Medicine at Nova Medical School in Lisbon.
