Eliana Vale completed her Masters in Chemical Engineering - Technologies for Environmental Protection in 2008 at the Institute of Engineering of Porto (ISEP), with the thesis Encapsulamento de Monómeros da Lenhina pela -Ciclodextrina: Estudos Químico e de Biodegradação, after graduating in the same area and institution (2006). Since then, she has held several trainings in the areas of quality and metrological control, such as ?Audits to Laboratories, according to ISO 17025 standard?, RELACRE; "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories, according to ISO 17025 standard?, RELACRE; "Quality Management Systems, according to ISO 9001 standard?, Instituto para o Desenvolvimento Tecnológico; "Technical Workshops on Metrology?, Instituto de Soldadura e Qualidade; "Methods validation?, Soquímica. She started her work as Quality Technician at the Instituto de Engenharia Biomédica (INEB) in 2004, being hired by the Associate Laboratory IBMC-INEB in 2006, where she presently holds a Quality Manager position. Eliana is responsible for managing the quality system implemented at INEB, particularly in Biointerfaces and Nanotechnology core facility, including preparation, implementation and management of general and technical documentation and the metrological control of all laboratory equipment. She is also responsible for the general and technical organization of the laboratory, in processes of equipment acquisition, management of the image of the Institute and webpage, among others.
