I've a degree in Communication and International Journalism and a Post-Graduation in Science and Communication. I started my career in Radio and then moved to the press. I was a journalist at the daily newspaper «Diário de Notícias» in the areas of Education, Science and Technology and Health for eight years, a commentator at the «TSF radio» on Education issues and a columnist in the Education newspaper «A Página da Educação». I taught Science and Education Journalism at the Oporto Journalism School for a year and taught Communication and Public Relations at a professional school for eigth years. In 2000, I went to East Timor for almost two months as a special envoy from the daily newspaper «Diário de Notícias». In 2001, I changed to online journalism as Coordinator in the Oporto's office of the online newspaper «PortugalDiário», then as Chief editor and after that as Deputy Director of IOL website. After, I launched and managed the social networks of the IOL and TVI universe. I´m at ASPIC - Portuguese Association of Cancer Research - as Communication Coordinator, where I organize events and do connections with our European partner (EACR) and the big pharma and other sponsors, and at Ipatimup as Project Manager since 2013. I have been working for i3S since June 2015. At i3S I was responsible for internal communication and providing press office services and media relations till December 2025. I am currently managing the project ‘Building Bridges for Future Health’ within the scope of the Plataforma Regional de Especialização Inteligente (PREI) in Life and Health Sciences, coordinated by i3S and 2CA-Braga and funded by Norte 2030.
