Carla Teixeira graduated in Biology from Faculty of Sciences of Oporto University. She developed work towards her PhD at Duke Medical Center in North Carolina (USA) and at IBMC /IGMJM in Porto (Portugal). She obtained her PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences from ICBAS in 2006. In 2008 she started working as an assistant researcher (Ciência 2007) in Nerve Regeneration at IBMC. In 2015 she was a post-doctoral research fellow at Plymouth University (UK) working in Stem Cell Biology. In 2016, she was a lab manager in the group of Genetic Dynamics of Cancer Cells at i3S. Presently, she is a senior investigator at Immunethep and a collaborator at the Immunobiology group of i3S.
