PhD in Physical Chemistry by the University of Salamanca (Spain). Developed research activities in this field as a visiting professor at the University of Vigo (Spain) and as a R&D Officer in Aquimisa Laboratories company. In 2012, he moved from the Chemistry to Structural Biology area. After one postdoctoral position at the Structural Biology group at the Cancer Research Institute (CSIC-USAL) in Salamanca (Spain) and two visitor positions at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Hamburg (Germany), he joined the Institute for Research and Innovation in Health (i3S-IBMC) in Porto (Portugal), where currently is Junior Researcher. Expert on multi-resolution structural biology methods and in the biophysical analysis of protein-protein and protein-ligand interactions (X-ray crystallography, small-angle X-ray scattering, biophysical methods and molecular dynamics).
