Patrícia Carneiro (PC) holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar, University of Porto, and is the Scientific Manager at Porto. Comprehensive Cancer Centre. Previously she completed her Master in Biology and Biological Sciences in 2002 at Washington University in Saint Louis and her Bachelor in BSc. Human Genetics in 1998 at University of Leeds, School of Biomedical Sciences. Since 2012, PC has been devoted to understand the mechanisms of epithelial cell invasion at IPATIMUP/i3S. In this context, she has identified key molecules associated to cancer cell invasion and E-cadherin dysfunction. PC has 24 publications in international peer-reviewed journals (7 as first-author) with an h-index 14.
