Ana Martins obtained the degree of MSc in Bioengineering - Molecular Biotechnology from University of Porto (Faculty of Engineering (FEUP) and Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar (ICBAS) in 2017.

Currently, Ana is a PhD student from the doctoral program in biomedical engineering (FEUP) under the supervision of Dr. Ana Paula Pêgo and co-supervision of Dr. Pedro Moreno. Her project is focused on the development of multifunctional nucleic-acid based nanostructures to act as a targeted neuronal therapy in disorders from central nervous system.

Some of her main interests rely on DNA nanotechnology, biomaterials and neuroregeneration.
