José Diogo Pereira holds a master's degree in Psychological Intervention, Education and Human Development (Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto). He integrates, as a PhD student in Biomedical Sciences (Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar, University of Porto), the multidisciplinary team of the presymptomatic testing protocol for late-onset neurological disorders at the Center for Predictive and Preventive Genetics (CGPP-IBMC). Pereira's current research addresses the psychosocial experiences of Portuguese families with late-onset familial amyloid polyneuropathy (FAP ATTRV30M) and their challenges for genetic counseling.
