Studied Biochemistry (Bachelor) from 2011 to 2014 in the University of Coimbra. Went on to acquire a Master's Degree on Molecular Oncology through ICBAS (University of Porto). Did a master thesis on the application of the CRISPR/Cas9 technique for the imaging of genomic loci "in vivo". Currently working on my PhD project in the "Vertebrate Development and Regeneration" research group, trying to understand how gene regulation helps control the development of the zebrafish pancreas, focusing on the regulatory elements active in pancreatic progenitor cells.
