Catarina has a Bachelor degree in Biochemistry and concluded her Master degree in Oncology at the University of Porto. In 2021, she integrated the MindGAP project, at IPO-Porto, where she focused on isolating Extracellular vesicles (EV) in biofluids from Cancer patients. In 2022, she began her PhD project at Cancer Biology and Epigenetics Group (GBEC), at CI-IPO Porto, in collaboration with Biocomposites group at i3S, where she will explore a new technique for EV isolation in order to uncover Bladder cancer biomarkers.
