Studied Biology, did a PhD in Biomedical Sciences/Genetics and "Agregação" in Molecular Genetics. Currently, Professor of Molecular Genetics in the University of Porto. Research interests include Mitochondrial biogenesis and bioenergetics and Programmed Cell Death and their implications in health and disease.
