I enrolled Medical School at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) in 2006 and graduated in 2012. Since the fifth year of faculty, I have been doing research at the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics and I have concluded my master thesis entitled “Selective Angiotensin Type - 1 - Receptor Antagonists as Peroxisome Proliferator – Actived Receptor (PPAR) Modulators” under guidance of Professor Daniel Moura. I was part of a team of researchers as a fellow of the Science and Technology Foundation in a scientific cooperation project between Portugal and Poland in the biennium 2013 and 2014. The project entitled "Influence of cannabinoids and angiotensin I converting enzyme 2 on sympathetic regulation of the cardiovascular system submitted to pressure overload" was developed at the Department of Experimental Physiology of the Faculty of Medicine of Bialystok - Poland under the guidance of Professor Barbara Malinowska and at the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics of FMUP under the guidance of Professor Daniel Moura. In 2013 I completed the general medical practice year and in 2015 began Internal Medicine internship at Centro Hospitalar de São João. In the same year I have enrolled the PhD Programme of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology from FMUP and currently, I am starting my research work about the role of the Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone system and hypoxia in the lung tumour microenvironment. In 2016 I enrolled the residency of Pulmonology at Coimbra Hospital and University Centre.
